Ecler nuo 5 aansluiten op Mac

| Ik heb een tijd geleden de Ecler Nuo 5 mixer gekocht. Nu wil deze aansluiten op mijn macbook om er met Ableton Live 6 volop gebruik van te maken. Ik heb al vanaf de usb uitgang een kabel naar de mac laten gaan maar de ecler gaf geen kik. Wat moet ik doen en welke kabel heb ik nodig? Groeten, Gosse | |

| Ik weet niet wat je precies van plan bent met de USB verbinding, maar deze is alleen geschikt voor het programeren van de effecten. Je heb de edi:lab software nodig daarvoor. En dan is het nog maar de vraag of hij kan praten als een apple (apple talk ;-) | |

| Ja dat dacht ik al, dat die usb uitgang alleen voor edi lab zou zijn. Die software is er niet voor de mac dus dat gaat niet door maar dat maakt me niet heel veel uit. Ik zou alleen heel graag de Ecler als midi controller willen gebruiken m.b.v. Ableton Live 6 dus. Maar moet ik daarvoor nog een usb midi interface nodig of alleen een bepaalde kabel of of of... | De handleiding van de Nuo-5 spreekt wel degelijk over Midi: - MIDI Out: Info afkomstig uit de handleiding... En let daarbij ook op het feit hoe duidelijk toch gemeld wordt dat je de DIN-5 MIDI aansluiting moet gebruiken van de Nuo-5 (en hoe dan de vertaalslag door iemand gemaakt kan worden dat waar de tekst DIN-5 MIDI staat wellicht USB bedoeld zal worden is mij volslagen onduidelijk ;-)The DIN 5 (180º) MIDI OUT connector (55) allows you to control external devices using MIDI protocol. MIDI is a standard protocol for communication between electronic musical instruments and computers. The MIDI connection procedure is described in chapter 8. MIDI USAGE. -------- The FX SEND push button also controls the MIDI START/STOP functions. Please refer to chapter 8. MIDI USAGE. -------- 8. MIDI USAGE The DIN 5 (180º) MIDI OUT connector allows you to control external devices using MIDI protocol. MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a standard protocol for communication between electronic musical instruments and computers. MIDI devices can work as Slave (controlled) or Master (controls) units. The NUO5 works as a Master MIDI unit which means it can control other electronic musical instruments (Synthetisers, Sequencers, Drum Machines etc ... even Light Controllers). The MIDI functions of the NUO5 are “System Messages” with no specific MIDI channel assigned. Via its MIDI OUT, the NUO5 sends a continuous synchronization code called MIDI Clock which can synchronize the external(s) MIDI device(s). The NUO5 MIDI Clock signal follows the BPM value (Beat Per Minute) calculated by the internal BPM Processor. To control the external(s) MIDI device(s), remember to set it first as a “Slave” unit (External Clock set-up). The NUO5 can also send MIDI START and MIDI STOP orders to external(s) MIDI device(s) which allows you to “launch” and “stop” sequences of external(s) MIDI device(s). The MIDI START and MIDI STOP orders are controlled by the EFFECT Knob (Push): each time you push the EFFECT Knob, the MIDI OUT sends a MIDI START (“Activate SELECT”) or “MIDI STOP” (“Deactivate SELECT”). The MIDI Functions are disabled when the NUO5 gets under “PC MODE“. | |

| Maar dan nog heb je alleen start/stop functies via MIDI, en kun je de mixer niet als volledige controller gebruiken. | |

| Precies, maar dat is niet wat de topicstarter ermee wil doen, daarom adviseerde ik hierboven al om een Nuo 4 aan te schaffen. Of de Korg Zero 4, komt die ook nog in de New-Line shop? | |

| De ecler is puur een mengpaneel wat je zou kunnen doen: Controller erbij kopen voor de functies in ableton en een geluidskaart met voldoende uitgangen. Zo werk ik op dit moment ook met ableton samen met mijn ecler nuo 5. ik heb er een akai mpd-24 erbij. Maar ik moet zeggen ik mis draaiknopjes. Dit alles werkt redelijk goed. | |
